TSIG was created to provide a forum for the communication and sharing of technical services issues and activities among members of the group. Read about TSIG, its structure and activities.

Representatives to the Canadian Committee on Cataloguing

TSIG-L

• TSIG-L is a forum established by the Technical Services Interest Group of the Canadian Library Association to facilitate communication and discussion about the provision of technical services in Canadian libraries.
• Only subscribers can send mail to the list.
• The Technical Services Interest Group uses TSIG-L to communicate with TSIG members (at least those with a network connection). Other committees, associations, organizations, etc. are also encouraged to use TSIG-L to communicate announcements, reports, minutes, documentation, and surveys of potential interest to TSIG-L subscribers.
• TSIG-L welcomes in particular:
  • The participation of members of the Technical Services Interest Group.
  • The participation of librarians and staff whose work involves the provision of technical services in Canadian libraries.
  • The participation of librarians at the National Library and CISTI.
  • The participation of national committees such as the Canadian Committee on Cataloguing and the Canadian Committee on MARC.
  • The participation of national, regional, and provincial library associations.
  • The participation of those involved in the development of technology or automated services related to technical services in Canadian libraries.
  • The participation of representatives of vendors and utilities.
